Creating The Freedom You Desire

“Busy.” Does that sound familiar?

I know all too well it’s what moms say when they’re trying to juggle it all: the clean home, the enriched kids, and the growing business.

Our minds are filled with dreams about having more “me-time,” more presence, and more freedom, but if we’re being honest, most of that dreaming doesn’t lead to any of that. It just leads to a long to-do list and burn out.

And here’s the hard truth: flexibility won’t just fall into your lap.

Freedom isn’t something you get once you reach a certain level. It doesn’t come with income, or skillsets, or extra hands. Freedom isn’t given, it’s created.

It’s intentional. And anyone can do it.

Dreaming vs. Doing
Most moms feel stuck because they’re dreaming without actually doing. We feel this sense of “busy” because we have so much going on in our heads, but the reality is we’re usually under-operating. We’re stuck in the “Mom Loop,” just waiting for permission to take control.

And our self-talk often sounds like this:

  • Once the business is stable, I’ll slow down.”
  • “I just need a little more time.”
  • “I’m not good at systems; I’m a creative.”

The thing is, these are just stories we tell ourselves to keep us safe. It’s not about working harder or doing more; it’s about operating differently.

    Stop Shaking the Globe
Imagine your mind is like a snow globe. And every time you respond to the “busy-ness,” you are shaking the snow globe. In doing so, you can’t see a clear path. Trying to do everything at once, simply leads to doing nothing at all. Allowing our minds to jump from one thing to the next constantly, instead of picking one task at a time to execute, keeps us in the snow globe.

In order to be present for those 10:00 AM coffee dates with your toddler, you have to stop shaking. Tune off the other things. Learn to time batch. Block out your days. Incorporate systems into your business that allow your company to flourish without burning you out. Without needing your constant tending to.

How to Start Building Your Freedom
It’s time to shift your identity from dreaming to doing. And here’s how:

    • Make sure you trust your own decisions. Stop second-guessing yourself.
    • It’s not about working more; it’s about simplifying your practices and automating the tasks that drain your energy.
    • Trust is built in small moments. If you’re taking Friday off to be with the kids, set up a system that makes that possible.

Achieving freedom takes intentional time and practice, but is truly possible for us all.🤍
