Quarter TWO: Goal Setting for What’s to Come!

I’m continuously working on me and thinking about what more or less I want for myself. I think it’s so important to constantly redefine and readjust your goals- not just at the start of the New Year. So this year, I’m going to try and reflect at the end of each quarter and readjust from there.

Reflection on quarter one:

We had an established routine. Work felt manageable. I was able to dive into other creative projects. We traveled. I was killin’ it! For a moment, at least.😂

In quarter one, I hit my slow season with work. So I really took the time to readjust at home with Phil going back to work after his paternity leave. I kept feeling like the baby moments were fleeting. We were sick for weeks on end. So taking things slow was number one on my agenda and that certainly happened.

I wanted to begin new creative ventures, which I did! (Those are coming so soon!) I wanted to be more active and present on social media, which I stuck to the best I can- giving myself grace there because that shit is a full time job. I landed a few partnerships that I was hoping for.

I intended on reading more and walking on the walking pad. I’m not even half way through the same book I started in January and I never once touched the walking pad. 🤣😂

So quarter two,

My biggest goal is really to find quality down time for myself more. I’m not talking scrolling on my phone.

In fact, hiding my phone away is another goal of mine. DND does not work for me- I just ignore it. So hiding my phone in another room, or turning it off all together is my upcoming plan. A few nights I turned it off from 5pm-8pm to be more present during dinner and bedtimes and truthfully, I LOVED it.

I also want to, NEED to, begin working out again. I can feel my body getting weak. I have ZERO flexibility left in me- like no joke, I’m lucky I can reach my shins. Things I used to be able to lift, I cannot. My energy levels are depleted. I want to be and feel strong again. Making time for that is on my quarter two list- I’ll keep you posted on where I find that time.

I want to get to bed earlier and maintain a 5:00am wake up time. Because 5:30am is no longer cutting it. I need more time in the mornings.

I want to find and establish a better work routine. With a baby, it’s hard. Her schedule is constantly changing- as are our older kids. So finding a new, established routine for this quarter is essential so I can keep up with all that I do.

And lastly, actually finish that damn book I started. I really do enjoy reading before bed, but once I hit that pillow I doom scroll like the rest of us. I need to find a way to break that habit.

So there ya have it! I shared it here first, hold me accountable people!
