Baby Names: What We Love and What We Couldn’t Agree On!

When it comes to finding out the gender of our babies, we have saved the secret for delivery twice now. Our sons- our first and third pregnancies, we found out the gender. No way could I not find out our first time around and then Phil convinced me the third time around.

The second time around, our daughter, is when we saved the gender for delivery. Originally, it was Phil’s idea to try it out and I was hesitant. I wasn’t sure I could do it. But in the end, I absolutely loved it and Phil hated it (HA!). I tell everyone, it is truly the only GOOD surprise in life (I mean, think about it. I’ve seen many surprises go wrong, end in a bit of disappointment, etc. But when it comes to welcoming your new obsession, there’s no disappointment once you see their face.)

However, that second time around made name choosing VERY difficult. In fact, we had our daughter’s name picked out around 30 weeks and decided on a boy’s name driving to the hospital in labor. Thank goodness she wasn’t a boy- I’m not sure how confident we were with that name choice. But we have found ourselves back in the same scenario, having such a difficult time choosing a name for both genders. Here are our lists so far!

I guess it’s frowned upon to send your Husband on an errand run when they come to the room for the official name, so. Looks like we have to go off of the agreed list. But since we’re still so undecided, help! Send me some names you loved and didn’t use! Help us fall in love with something and ASAP! Chime in to my stories on IG at @kait_ejensen.
