We had the most amazing time traveling to Marco Island in Florida all of last week. Pool, beach, drinks, and not much else. Spent loads of quality time together and cashed in on tons of Vitamin D.
We went last August and not a single child would touch the ocean, minus Jax. Flash forward to April and we couldn’t get them out of the ocean. It was so much fun! Thinking back to my own childhood, I cannot recall a time that we spent a day at the beach. If we had, it must have been once. Phil and I stood there counting the collective five times our kids have already had their toes in the ocean. It’s a blessing and we’re so fortunate to give them those experiences time and time again.
Quality time together + family vacations are at the top of a child’s core memories. So despite how challenging it feels, despite the chaos of it all, travel with your kids and travel often.
