Taylor Turns FIVE

Our Teej, our TJ, our super sweet, super sassy, hardly classy, Taylor Layne turns FIVE today. I cannot believe we have been blessed with her in our lives for five whole years already. Where that time went is beyond me.

Taylor is the epitome of a girlie girl’s girl. She loves all things pink, sparkly, and shimmery. She loves Barbies, princesses, unicorns, and Taylor Swift. She doesn’t dare lift a finger and demands the entire household wait on her hand and foot. She lets me know when her nails need a manicure and keeps track of every millimeter her hair grows. She sleeps with a sleep mask and has her makeup vanity fully stocked (still learning that eye shadow only goes on top of the eyelid, not under the eye).

She’s the messiest person in the house. She gets more food on herself and the floor than in her actual stomach. She walks one direction, but looks in the other. She asks 18 questions about something and then suddenly changes the topic without warning. She’s our “space cadet”- not thinking too much about the world around her, living in her own happy-go-lucky mind.

But beyond that, Taylor is a girl’s girl and I hope it never changes. She is the first one to compliment another friend’s outfit choice, letting them know it’s beautiful. She’s the first person to express her pride for the kid next to her who does something exciting and cool. She’s quick to cheer others on and tell them how great of a job they did. She’s the most gentle and nurturing soul with those younger than her.

She’s a gymnast. She’s a dancer. She’s a performer of all kinds. She’s a future cheerleader- counting down the days until she can join. We are beyond proud of the person she is becoming. We love you, TJ, Teej, Taylor Layne. Now onto her Eras Tour inspired birthday party…
